This Book
are 10 stories were chosen to be published
in “The Anthology of Kalimantan and Mindanao Folk Stories 2022”, which were
divided into two volumes. This book is 1st Volume consisted of 5 stories: 3
stories from Kalimantan and 2 stories from Mindanao. The stories were
presented bilingually in their first language, followed by the translation in the
English language.
This collaborative project involved dozens of school teachers in Kalimantan
(Indonesia) and Mindanao (the Philippines). They were given training in folk
story writing and couple weeks to create their own. Having gone through a
thight selection and revision processes, 10 stories were chosen to be published
in “The Anthology of Kalimantan and Mindanao Folk Stories 2022”, which were
divided into two volumes. This book is 2nd Volume consisted of 5 stories: 3
stories from Kalimantan and 2 stories from Mindanao. The stories were
presented bilingually in their first language, followed by the translation in the
English language.

This book is designed as a result of the collaborative project between, Indonesia and, the Philippines. The project aims to empower local teachers in the respective countries through localized folk story writing. The project provides a platform for those briliant teachers to express their creativity in writing delightful stories. Besides, its focus on local stories makes the benefits of this project two folds: to improve writing skills and to to share interesting local stories in the two regions with fellow
